KNVB

About

KNVB believes that football can contribute to a better society and has been educating coaches in developing countries since 1997. Since 2009, KNVB has increased its activities through the WorldCoaches program. In this program local community coaches are trained not only in the field of football skills, but also in life skills. The trained WorldCoaches play an important role in the community. They train and supervise the children and influence them in a positive way during football activities, in which the WorldCoach can also integrate (local) social aspects, like health or violence. The main goal is to encourage children and young people to develop their talents and passions. So they get confidence and they can develop themselves. In time these young people can contribute to the community, for example to coach younger children. This improves the future prospects of the local youth.
