WATER&BOAT FOR SAN MARTIN
The project owner
- San Martin de Amacayacu
The project aims to provide access to clean drinking water and means of transport.
By means of this project, the basic necessities of clean drinking water facilities and better means of transport will be purchased and be available for the Tikuna indigenous people of San Martin de Amacayacu in the most southern corner of the Colombian Am
This is also very simple: The project will purchase the necessary clean drinking water tanks and transport facilities. Maintainance of the outboard motor will be financed by the Small World Foundation.
- San Martin is a Tikuna indigenous community of about 450 inhabitants. 30% is younger than 10 years old, and about 10% is older than 50. The community can be called remote because of its location away from the main Amazon river and any of the Amazon larger
Why (Project owners drive)
After having lived in the Tikuna indigenous community of San Martin de Amacayacu for over five years, I truly understand the daily challenge when there is hardly clean drinking water or proper transport!
