Goal summary

To construct four latrines for 100 people, providing proper hygiene facilities for the whole community of Tolebekpa, Benin. We will also educate the the entire village on proper hygiene practices.

Project summary

No more dodgy defecation! The lack of proper latrines create poor sanitation within the community and aids the spread of disease. Sanitation and good hygiene are fundamental to health, survival, growth and development

How

We will complete this project by purchasing materials, digging the holes, laying brick, pouring the concrete floor and completing four latrines. These families are eager to help maintain the toilets and are proud to be able to contribute to the upkeep of the facilities.

Why (Project owners drive)

Thanks to the upbringing of my father I have been interested in development aid for a long time. He talked a lot about injustice in the world and was a volunteer for the NGO "Gered Gereedschap". Now with this project in Benin I have the opportunity to make something concrete of my long kept interest.
