Title
HELP FOR HOMELESS
The project owner
Edze de Boer
Location
- Eindhoven
- Netherlands
Goal summary
Provide survival kits to at least 200 homeless people in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, so they can keep warm during the harsh Dutch winters, when shelters are packed and the streets are cold.
Project summary
In Eindhoven, The Netherlands, there are over 1000 homeless people. Their pasts are all different, but lead to the same outcome: they have no one who looks after them and they depend fully on their own creativity and endurance. Due to budget problems, Eindhoven's shelters aren't capable of caring for the high number of homeless people in the area.
How
With sleeping bags, warm coats and backpacks, 'survival' packages can be provided for 200 homeless people in Eindhoven. This creates an opportunity to connect with the homeless, and find those who need these survival kits the most. The kits will keep them warm and the contact with our volunteers will help keep their spirits up.
Beneficiaries
- 200
- Homeless people aged 20-60. Most of them have no place to spend the night. They are forced away from station halls, parks, and so on. This is an everyday returning problem, especially during the winter.
