Train 60 bright and creative teenagers to become tomorrow’s teaching talent within their own townships and be an example of opportunity.
The township of Blikkiesdorp presents the full array of difficulties for young people to succeed in life – high crime rates and low employment opportunities. The lack of opportunity and positive role models creates a downstream, however, this project will transform closed doors into open opportunities.
Money will be invested in educating the youngsters on how best to cultivate their talents. Professionals will guide and lead them in order for these youngsters to themselves be the teaching talent of tomorrow for generations of youths who follow in their footsteps.
- Youngsters that live within the Blikkiesdorp township - an area of land with over 1,000 one roomed tin structures containing a population of approx 16,000 people.

Renske is my nest friend and co-founder of Ubuntu. We set up the foundation together in 2006.
- Worldwide there are more than 100 million street children. Kids who have no other option than to provide for themselves. Ubuntu gives them a chance to star in their own theatre performance to let them regain their self esteem and dignity.
- Ubuntu Healing and Bonding week (Intensive life skills training and getting to know and trust each other, all the participants and coaches will go camping outside of Cape Town for one week) € 2.500 Music instruments €2.000 Decor, props & costumes for the theatre production € 3.000 Awareness campaign connected to the theatre production (posters, flyers, radio commercial) €1.000 Budget for materials for all creative disciplines (theatre, design, media, film) €1.500
