About me
In 2001 I travelled with a friend to India for our medical study. We were hosted in Guntur Andhra Pradesh, headoffice of CARDS (Community And Rural Development Society). An organisation by Dalits, for Dalits. Organisation with main aim empowerment of the Dalits, castless people and usually people with less changes in society. During our stay and study we got more and more involved by the good work of CARDS and when we returned we were convinced that we had have to help! Back in the Netherlands Stichting Santosh was raised. A foundation to raise money for the projects of CARDS. Ever since we have started our foundation we have supported schoolprojects, Tsunami housing project and last year a Care and Support Home for HIV positive children was built by our foundation. For the get it done project we would like to arrange a computer training for disabled persons. Ou partner in India says: "Child Guidance Centre plans to establish a Computer Training Unit in its Vocational Training Centre to provide oppurtunities for the children with diability to equip them with skills to enable them to utilize the computer for the completeion of various jobs." This project is chosen by KeyStone business solutions to be one of the projects the would like to support this year.
